EXPERIENCE AT A GLANCE

Business Operation

Starting as my college project in late 2016, by the time of its peak, the brand reached hundreds of orders per collection, generating thousands in revenue and a cult-like following spanning over three continents.
To make this a reality, I manufactured clothing on both the West and East coast, later including the UK and China.

Marketing & PR

I pioneering multiple viral Instagram strategies and grew SSMM to 12.000+ followers at its peak. I employed meme & influencer marketing, as well as did frequent giveaways. Resulting in hundreds to thousands of comments per post and thousands of likes. I also had ads running on Instagram, Meta, Twitter, YouTube and Snapchat.

Fashion & Visuals

I started out with creating one simple front and back logo. Over the brand's lifetime I created and released over 20 collections, amounting to several hundred designs.

To market these I curated photoshoots with photographers worldwide, including USA (CA, NY, VA...), Canada, The Netherlands, France, UK, Bulgaria & China.

Communication

I have had the privilege to work with talented musicians, influencers, content creators, photographers and other creatives. The likes of Lil Peep, Pouya, Fat Nick, MikeyTM,  Emanuel, Luca, FruityPoppin, Layla, BigBabyGucci & many more wonderful people. These connections put SSMM on the map of underground streetwear in the 2016-19 era.

SSMM IN SHORT

From a brand born during my evening shifts at the Hampshire College media lab to attracting funding, an entrepreneurial award and thousands in revenue & supporters, SSMM is the brand that succeeded against all odds. Over the course of 3 years, SSMM spread from a few states, to getting orders from Canada, Europe, Brazil, the UK, Russia, Australia and China. I expanded from local screen printing production in MA to multiple logistics paths serving 3 continents.

THE SSMM CLOUT NETWORK WAS A COLLECTIVE OF CREATIVES, WHOSE PERSONALITIES WERE PROMOTED THROUGH 'CLOUT CARDS'. 5-PACKS OF CLOUT CARDS WERE GIVEN AWAY FOR FREE IN EVERY ORDER. THE CARDS WERE INSPIRED BY YUGIOH! CARDS AND CREATED BY GEORGE DREEMER. THEY FEATURED A FRONT SIDE WHERE THE CREATOR IS PRESENTED INCLUDING A SATIRICAL SPECIAL POWER DESCRIPTION, THE CREATOR TYPE AND SOCIAL MEDIA.
