EXPERIENCE AT A GLANCE

Nikolay and George had the idea of starting a social network in their senior year of high school. Naive, but ambitious and hard-working, they managed to program, from near-scratch, a fully functioning social network in a year, then launch and fund it in the next.

Web Development

I was in charge of back-end development, programming in PHP, Javascript and SQL. I created all of the platform's systems, such as liking, pinning, commenting, sharing, notifications, loging in, posting text/photo/video, post editing, hashtag and category system, profile page customization and account settings, and a feedback system.

Graphic Design & UI

Both Nikolay and I were involved in the conception of the UI. I created the graphics in Adobe Illustrator - our logo, full icon set, UI mockups, full branding and marketing package and any other necessary graphics assets.

Frontmanning

I participated in multiple pitching, shark tank and other entrepreneurial events. We attracted funding from local investors in Bulgaria and at the peak of the platform hit ~900 users, mostly located in the USA.

THOUGHTBUBBLE IN SHORT

thoughbubble was a social platform directed at the wave of self-improvers at the time. We saw a niche with the rise of gurus such as Tai Lopez, Gary Vaynerchuk, and their respective fandoms. In particular, the interest in a social network without the clutter of cat pictures and vacation photos, just pure information. Our users shared insights from books, quotes that inspired them and other self-improvement content. Our mission was to create a place where your feed teaches and inspires you.

Unfortunately, due to changing machines multiple times

and corrupted backups there are little to no visuals.
